Engagement with communities across the country
Both academic staff and students have conducted number of health promotion programs for community members in different districts as summarized in the tables. More than 10, 000 community members have been trained on community based health promotion approach by the academic staff and 250 community members have been trained by the students.

Coverage of Villages
Students have worked with 52 villages around Mihinthale during 2007 and 2019 (62% out of total number of villages in Mihintale) and have direct contact with at least 2600 families. Students have worked with these villages as a field work component in the degree program.
