Graduate Profile


The graduate profile was developed during the 2016 curriculum revision and approved by the Faculty Board. Study programmes are structured so that graduates possess the following attributes upon graduation.

Students graduating from the B. Sc. in Applied Sciences (Biology) programme should have developed and attained each of the above attributes to a level that meets the requirements of graduate level employment and/or is sufficient for progression to postgraduate study as specified in Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) Level 5. Students graduating from the B. Sc. Honours in Applied Biology programmes should have developed and attained each of the above attributes to a level that exceeds the requirements of graduate level employment and/or is sufficient for progression to Ph.D. study as specified in Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) Level 6. The specific graduate profiles of different Study Programmes are linked to the outcomes expected at different levels and are identified in the curriculum document
