Call for Applications – 4th Year Honours Degree Programs (2020/2021 Batch)
- BSc Honours in Information Technology
- BSc Honours in Applied Sciences (with Computer Science as the Main Subject)
Applications are now open for eligible students of the 2020/2021 batch who wish to pursue the Honours Degree program under the Department of Computing.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria (Applies to both programs)
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 for the best 65 credits, including all compulsory courses from the first five semesters
- No E grades
- A maximum of:
- 8 credits with D grades (for Honours in IT)
- 6 credits with D grades (for Honours in Applied Sciences– CS as main subject)
- A minimum C+ grade in the Group Project ICT 3411/ COM 3405.
- All relevant FDN and compulsory IDC courses must be completed with at least a C grade before the selection interview
Selection Process
Eligible applicants will be called for a Selection Interview. Final selection will be based on the following weighted criteria:
- GPA for best 65 credits – 70%
- Academic Enrichment Activities – 15%
- Hackathons and similar events – 8%
- Volunteering & societies – 2%
- Community / Industry engagements – 5%
- Sports – 5%
- Creativity and Exceptional Abilities – 5%
- Projects, innovations, aesthetic talents
- Interview Performance – 5%
- Future perspective and communication
Applicants must have scored at least 40% in individual components of the group project to be eligible for the interview.
