As part of its continuous commitment to strengthening industry engagement and enhancing the employability of its students, the Department of Computing successfully organized an industry visit to IFS on 06 August 2026 for the 2022/2023 Batch of the Bachelor of Science Honours in Information Technology Degree Programme.
A total of 65 second-year undergraduate students participated in the visit, gaining valuable exposure to one of the leading global enterprise software companies. The programme provided students with an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.
Throughout the visit, students attended a series of engaging sessions covering Software Engineering, Emerging Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Career Pathways in the IT Industry. These sessions offered practical insights into current industry trends, software development practices, and the evolving technological landscape. Students also had the opportunity to interact with experienced industry professionals, enabling them to gain first-hand knowledge of workplace culture, industry expectations, and the technical and professional competencies required to succeed in today’s dynamic software industry.
