The Department of Computing has successfully conducted the “Agile Mastery: Empowering Teams for Project Success” workshop on 11 July 2026 for the 2021/2022 Batch.
The workshop was designed to equip undergraduate students with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills in Agile project management, enabling them to effectively manage software development projects in today’s dynamic and collaborative work environments. The programme covered key Agile concepts, Scrum practices, team collaboration, iterative development, project planning, and effective stakeholder communication, providing students with valuable insights into modern software project management practices.
The session was conducted by Mr. Nadun De Silva, Project Manager at Xitricon, who brought extensive industry experience in software project management. Drawing on his professional expertise, Mr. De Silva shared practical insights, real-world case studies, and best practices in Agile methodologies, offering students a valuable perspective on managing successful software projects in the IT industry. His interactive delivery and engaging discussions greatly enriched the learning experience of the participants.
Approximately 90 undergraduate students participated in the workshop, demonstrating their enthusiasm for enhancing their project management competencies and preparing themselves for successful careers in the software industry.
