A two-day workshop on ‘Introduction to VMware Virtualization’ organized by the Department of Computing, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, was successfully held on the 3rd and 4th of January 2020, at the faculty auditorium. Undergraduates of 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd year participated in this workshop, and the sessions were conducted by three significant personalities, Mr Thusitha Perera, Mr Geeth Nuwan Pathirana, and Mr Isuru Wijesinghe.
The audience was enlightened with a good overview of the concepts related to Virtualization throughout this workshop. Furthermore, the speakers shared their experiences related to the field and the industry, which motivated the participants to set their targets high to reach greater heights. This workshop indeed paved the path for our student community to explore new horizons in the field of virtualization, and a special word of thanks to each and everyone who co-operated in making this event a success.
