The Ethics Review Committee (ERC) of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (FASc RUSL) was established to promote the adhering to ethical principles in research among academic staff and students, both undergraduate & postgraduate. The ERC of Rajarata FASc was established in 2016 to provide ethics review for research projects conducted by university staff and students and also from community based projects. The committee is a member of the Forum for Ethics Review Committees of Sri Lanka (FERCSL). Recently, the ERC expanded its scope to cover research involving animals recently and has formed a sub-committee on animal ethics.
